SOME TOTAL
CRAIG DRANSFIELD,
MAYA HAYUK & BRIAN HOLDERMAN

at GIANT ROBOT SAN FRANCISCO
Opening Reception Saturday September 3 | 6:30-10pm

SOME TOTAL is an installation by three artists, Craig Dransfield, Maya Hayuk, and Brian Holderman, who live in three different cities (Columbus, New York, and Pittsburgh, respectively). The concept for this show was born out of their work together on the previous Roll Rampant and Free, a huge skate track they designed, built and painted in Pittsburgh. They envisioned the work for SOME TOTAL through conversation, e-mail, and telepathy. Each artist made work independently and then the group met up in Columbus to re-work each other's paintings to create new, cohesive pieces. SOME TOTAL is not a three-person solo show, but a group effort that embodies the harmony that a band makes together.
